OGR-020 // Party Hats have finally unveiled their incredible follow up to their debut album "Fatima" with their new 5 song EP entitled "Autobiographic Autopsy". A relentless trip from start to finish, with incredible creativity, rawness, and power between the Denton, TX trio creating a exciting primal energy that makes you want to beat your chest while screaming your lungs out. Happily co-released with our friends Self Versed Records and Larry Records, also wanting to extend my extreme gratitude to both labels and the band for letting us get in on the party, these guys are one of my favorite active bands right now and after one listen I can assure you will be fish hooked on them as well.

I haven't listened to and analyzed/ felt this album enough to have a wholly formed opinion on it yet. For me, mixing like this leads to vocals and music blending together in an almost lyric-less way; till I read them, I have no idea what's going on here. But I do love the overall theme, feeling and - the interludes on 4 & 9 set a lovely tone. It's dreamlike and melancholic in a way; hopeful, but not optimistic, rather countered with sadness. That's the feeling I get. It does speak to me, ch. sleepy_foxie
